Cedrus deodarathis is the national tree of Pakistan. Native to mountains of Asia & the Middle East. The tree has graceful pendulous branches & growth form. Deodar Cedars grow up to 40 feet high & wide. Deodar Cedars are fully hardy in the desert. Unarmed woody cones open when dry, the foliage is needlelike. Foliage is different from that of a Fir, the foliage hangs down & the needles are not held upright.
