Indian Hawthorn


Rhaphiolepis indica is a much used & very common landscape shrub. There are forms that stay small or grow large into small trees. Indian Hawthorns are native to Asian & India & are tolerant of a wide range of climatic conditions. In our area they are hardy to 0 degrees F. Indian Hawthorns are tolerant of drought & they will grow in sun fun or part shade. These plants are evergreen & bear white or pink flowers in the spring. This shrub lends itself ell to being pruned.
